Cookies

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are text files stored in your browser on your computer or other device when you visit a website. A cookie can, for example, contain information about which pages you visit or your settings, such as language preferences. Cookies and other types of tracking technology are mainly used to improve your experience on the site and are not harmful.

Different types of cookies

We may use different types of cookies on our website:

  • Session cookies are temporarily stored on your computer while you visit the website. These disappear when the browser is closed and are used for the functionality of the pages while you visit them.
  • Persistent cookies are stored on your computer until you manually delete them or until their expiration date.
  • First-party cookies are cookies set by the website you are visiting.
  • Third-party cookies are cookies on the website you visit that have been set by a third-party provider offering functions on that website. For example, these may be used to analyze web statistics or to customize ads in other channels based on the pages you have visited on the website. More information about third-party cookies is available under the section “Third-party cookies” below.

Other Similar Technologies

We may use pixel tags and web identifiers that work similarly to cookies.

  • A pixel tag is a type of technology placed on a website to track certain activity, such as collecting data about the visitor. Pixel tags are often used together with cookies. With pixel tags, we can create targeted advertising based on the data collected.
  • A unique web identifier consists of a string of characters used to identify a specific browser, app, or device. Different identifiers vary in how permanent they are, whether the user can reset them, and how they are accessed. Unique identifiers stored in cookies can, for example, help websites display content in the browser in the chosen language.

2. Why do we use cookies?

We use cookies for a variety of purposes:

  • To improve the website and user experience
  • To make content more relevant to you as a visitor
  • To monitor how the website is used
  • To provide relevant marketing

More information about why we use different types of cookies can be found in the section “Which cookies do we use?” below.

3. Which cookies do we use?

The cookies we use are divided into four categories. You can choose to accept all cookies or only certain categories. However, some cookies are necessary, and we can use these without your consent. When you consent to a category of cookies, you consent to all cookies in that category and the personal data processing that the use of cookies entails. Below, we have listed all cookies we use on https://www.noba.bank/

You can withdraw your consent or change your cookie settings at any time via the link “Set cookies” under the section “Avoiding and deleting cookies” at the bottom of this page. A shortcut to cookie settings is also available at the bottom of the homepage when you visit our website.

3.1 Third-party cookies

Third-party cookies are created by someone other than NOBA, i.e., a third party, through features used on the website the user visits. Third-party cookies can be used to collect information for advertising and tailored content as well as for web statistics. Some third-party cookies mean that information is shared with third parties.

Currently, we do not use any third-party cookies.

4. Your rights

Cookies sometimes constitute personal data. This means you have certain rights. For example, you have the right to know what personal data we process about you and can request a copy of this (data extract) or that we delete personal data. In cases where we base our processing on our legitimate interest, based on a balancing of interests, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data. Note that an objection or request for deletion of personal data cannot always be accommodated; we make an assessment in each individual case.

If you wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact us using the contact details below.

5. Information about Transfers to Third Countries

Personal data is only transferred to countries outside the EU and EEA (so-called third countries) if necessary and only after ensuring that the transfer is made in accordance with the rules applicable to third-country transfers. If a service provider is used in a third country, the provider must, in addition to the obligations stated in our written instructions, comply with the European standard for data protection, for example by signing the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses and, if necessary, taking additional protective measures. A transfer to a third country may also be based on the EU Commission's decision that the country has an adequate level of protection for personal data (adequacy decision).

Information about which countries the EU Commission has made adequacy decisions for can be found here: Adequacy decisions | European Commission (europa.eu)

EU Commission's standard contractual clauses are available here: Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) | European Commission (europa.eu)

You can contact dpo@nordax.se for more information about transfers to third countries.
